About Rudradhan

Traditional Punjabi Jadau, Direct From the Workshop.

Rudradhan is the online face of Chouhan Jewellers, Amritsar — a Jadau jewellery manufacturer founded in the 1950s and now run by the third generation of the family.

We built Rudradhan to bring handcrafted Jadau jewellery directly to customers across India and abroad — in both 22K gold and gold-plated 925 silver.

Direct From Source

Manufacturer to customer

From the Workshop

Not a New Jewellery Reseller. A Manufacturer Coming Direct.

For decades, Chouhan Jewellers worked largely behind the scenes — creating Jadau jewellery for other jewellers and trade customers.

Rudradhan was built to bring that same workshop, karigari and product knowledge directly to customers who want to understand what they are buying.

01

Closer to the Source

You are not just buying from a storefront. You are buying from the people behind the making.

02

Same Workshop

Our 22K gold and gold-plated 925 silver pieces come from the same Amritsar craft ecosystem.

03

Better Explanation

We try to explain the metal, stones, plating, weight and pricing more clearly than traditional retail usually does.

04

Direct Support

If you have questions before or after buying, you can speak to us directly instead of being passed around.

“Rudradhan exists because many customers want traditional Jadau jewellery, but also want more clarity, access and choice than old-style jewellery retail usually gives them.”

What We Make

Two Metals. One Serious Standard of Craft.

Rudradhan makes traditional Jadau jewellery in both 22K gold and gold-plated 925 silver. The metal may differ, but the respect for karigari does not.

When gold makes sense, choose gold. When the purpose is wearing, styling and enjoying traditional design, gold-plated silver can be a very intelligent choice — provided the workmanship is good enough.

Why Our Silver Jewellery Is Different

We Did Not Begin With Silver. We Came From Gold.

Most silver jewellery is made by workshops that have always worked in silver or base metals. Rudradhan came from a different direction.

“Most jewellers who make silver jewellery have never worked in gold. We came the other way around.”

— Rudradhan
01

Gold Karigars, Silver Base

Our karigars were trained in traditional gold Jadau work. That experience affects the finish, setting, proportion and overall feel of the jewellery.

02

Not Costume Jewellery

The base is 925 sterling silver, not brass or copper. It gives the piece a more serious foundation while keeping it more practical than gold.

03

Finish Matters

Gold-plated silver only makes sense when the polish, plating, stone setting and handwork can come close to the feeling of fine traditional jewellery.

04

Craft First

We do not choose cheaper metals just to reduce cost. The heart of the product is karigari, and the material must support that craft.

Gold-plated silver is not a replacement for gold as wealth. It is a practical way to keep traditional Indian jewellery wearable, expressive and beautifully made.

Gold or Silver?

Choose the Metal Based on the Purpose.

Gold and jewellery are often spoken of together, but the purpose is not always the same. Sometimes jewellery is bought as wealth. Sometimes it is bought to be worn, styled, gifted and remembered.

Choose Gold When

Metal Value Matters

  • You want the jewellery to also hold significant gold value.
  • The piece is for a wedding, heirloom or long-term family holding.
  • You are comfortable locking that much money into the wearable piece itself.
  • You specifically want 22K gold, not just the look of gold jewellery.

Choose Gold-Plated Silver When

Wearing Value Matters

  • You want the beauty and presence of traditional Indian jewellery.
  • You want larger or more expressive pieces without the full gold burden.
  • You prefer keeping gold as bullion or savings, while wearing beautifully crafted jewellery.
  • You want serious karigari, not cheap costume jewellery.

Our view is simple: own gold wisely if you want wealth. Wear jewellery joyfully if you want beauty. When the same finesse is available in gold-plated silver, the choice becomes more intelligent.

Materials & Transparency

We Tell You What the Jewellery Is Made Of.

Jewellery should not be sold through vague words alone. We try to explain the metal, plating, pearls, stones, weight and pricing wherever possible, so customers can make a more informed choice.

01

22K Gold Pieces

Our gold Jadau jewellery is made in 22K gold, suitable for customers who want the jewellery to carry significant gold value along with traditional handwork.

02

925 Silver Base

Our gold-plated silver jewellery is made on 925 sterling silver, not brass or copper. It gives the craft a more serious and wearable base.

03

Gold Plating

Silver pieces are gold-plated to achieve the warm appearance expected from traditional Indian jewellery, while keeping the piece more practical than solid gold.

04

Pearls & Stones

We use real pearls and suitable stones based on the design. Where synthetic coloured stones are used for practicality, we prefer being clear rather than pretending otherwise.

Our approach is simple.

A customer should know what she is buying, why it is priced that way, and what kind of long-term value or use she should expect from it.

That is why our product pages often include details like metal type, approximate weight, delivery time, and price-breakup information where applicable.

Care & Long-Term Use

Gold-Plated Silver Is Made to Be Worn With Care.

Gold-plated silver jewellery can remain beautiful for a long time when it is worn and stored sensibly. Like all plated jewellery, it deserves basic care — especially around moisture, perfume, sweat and rough storage.

01

Wear Thoughtfully

Wear after perfume, makeup and lotions have settled. Avoid wearing plated jewellery while bathing, swimming or exercising.

02

Store Properly

After use, wipe gently with a soft dry cloth and store separately in a pouch or box to avoid rubbing and scratches.

03

Expect Natural Wear

High-contact areas may soften over time. This is normal for gold plating and depends on usage, skin chemistry and storage.

04

Re-Plating Is Possible

If a piece needs freshening later, many gold-plated silver pieces can be re-plated depending on condition and design.

Our view on care is practical.

Gold-plated silver should not be treated like rough daily-use metal jewellery. It is crafted jewellery, meant to be worn beautifully and handled with reasonable care.

If you are unsure how to store, clean or re-plate a Rudradhan piece, message us. We would rather guide you clearly than let you guess.

Avoid water Bathing, swimming and repeated moisture reduce plating life.
Avoid chemicals Perfume, sanitizer, hairspray and harsh cleaners can affect finish.
Store separately Keep pieces in a pouch or box so they do not rub against each other.
Ask before polishing Do not use abrasive cleaners or aggressive polishing cloths.
Ordering & Support

Customisation, Shipping and Help Before You Buy.

Jewellery buying often needs conversation. Size, delivery time, customisation, metal choice and occasion all matter. We try to keep that process direct and clear.

01

Customisation

Many designs can be adjusted for size, colour combination, earring back type, chain length or other practical requirements, depending on the piece.

02

Made-to-Order Pieces

Some jewellery is ready to ship. Some is made after order confirmation. Product pages usually mention the expected delivery timeline.

03

India & International Orders

We support customers in India and abroad. International customers can also shop through our US website where suitable.

04

Direct Problem Resolution

If something needs attention before or after delivery, we prefer solving it directly rather than leaving customers confused.

Not sure what to choose?

Message us before buying. Tell us the occasion, budget, preferred metal and delivery requirement. We will guide you honestly toward what makes sense.
